Repair refers to a physical fault with the hardware of the computer.

Is Repair Worthwhile?

Since the COVID pandemic, prices for parts have increased significantly and it has become increasingly difficult to source them. Computers have become progressively more difficult to repair too, so the cost of skilled labour has increased considerably.

Considering this and the relatively low cost of purchasing a replacement computer, repair is rarely an economical option, and we would generally recommend replacement as a more viable option. This is especially true if it’s a laptop greater than three years old, or a desktop that is greater than five years old.
